The Unlock ASM campaign runs from 16 October 2026 to 31 March 2027, and it is aimed at people who do not already hold Amanah Saham Malaysia units. If you qualify, you can subscribe for anything between RM10 and RM10,000 in a single transaction using the promo code UNLOCK2 inside myASNB. The part that matters is the special allocation. ASM units are usually the ones that vanish first on the app, so the campaign is really giving first-time holders a queue position rather than a discount. The campaign terms also say the allocation is subject to availability, which in practice means it can close before the March date if the units run out. So the question I keep coming back to: is it worth opening the account now for a place in that queue, or does the allocation only really work for people who can put in the full amount on day one? If you joined an earlier round, how long did it actually take before your subscription went through?

Read the eligibility line before you sign up. First-time ASM holder is the part people skip, and an existing account with even a few units in it can take you out of the running.
Anyone know if the ceiling is per person or per household? My wife and I both want to open accounts and I would rather find out now than halfway through the application.
Do not treat this as a reason to empty your emergency fund into it. Six months of expenses stays liquid, the rest can wait for the allocation to clear.
The allocation is the whole story here. The code gets you through the door but the units still appear in blocks, so plan to check the app at odd hours rather than on the first evening.
If you are only putting in the smallest amount allowed, check what your bank charges to move the money across first. On a small subscription the transfer side can eat the first month of whatever the units earn.
