Deepavali 2026 sales: which promotions are actually worth it?

Deepavali falls on 8 November this year and the mall sales are already rolling out — I've seen the usual "up to 70% off" banners at the premium outlets, a Deepavali sofa sale at Lionmas and jewellery previews at TOMEI. Which Deepavali promotions have genuinely been worth the trip for you in past years? I'm mainly hunting for: - sarees and traditional wear that isn't a 10% "discount" off an inflated price - home appliances and furniture (I keep seeing 0% instalment offers) - cookies, murukku and gifting hampers — the good ones sell out weeks ahead Also keen to hear where the food deals are: banana leaf places and mithai shops with Deepavali sets. If you've spotted a flyer worth sharing, drop it in this thread.

Good timing for this thread. For traditional wear, the sales at the smaller boutique shops in Brickfields beat the mall 'discounts' every year.

For hampers, order at least two weeks early. The good murukku brands go out of stock in the last week and then you're paying double.

Lionmas had 0% instalment on sofas during last year's Deepavali sale and delivery was free. Worth checking whether the offer is back.
