Does a two-month appliance sale like Harvey Norman's Big Upgrades actually beat waiting for 11.11?

Harvey Norman's Big Upgrades, Bigger Savings promo started on 17 October and runs until 30 November, covering electrical appliances, computers, furniture and bedding. That is six weeks, so the 11.11 campaigns will land inside it rather than after it. The short ones feel like a different animal. The T-Pot 4K TV clearance at Kota Kemuning only runs 15 to 19 October with sets from RM759, and the JetZ WOW! warehouse sale in Puchong runs 23 October to 10 November. One of those ends this weekend, the other still has time on it. So how do you actually play a promo that long? Do you note the shelf tag in the first week and check the same model again in November, or do you just assume campaign week is always the floor? I have bought in the middle of a long sale before and watched the same unit go lower three weeks later, so I am curious what everyone else does.

Six weeks is long enough that the sale price quietly becomes the normal price by the end. I photograph the shelf tag in week one and compare the same model again in the last week.

Ask at the counter when the model was launched. Anything more than a year old is the one that actually moves down, the brand new line just sits there with a free gift attached.

I bought a washing machine halfway through a long promo and then the campaign voucher stacked on top of the same tag three weeks later. Same branch, same unit, nothing I could do.

For the small things I no longer wait at all. Delivery and installation slots get impossible closer to the campaign dates, and I would rather have the kettle this week.

Does the warranty clock start when you pay or when it gets installed? For furniture and bedding those two can be a month apart and nobody at the counter agrees on it.
