The Harvey Norman carpark mega sale at 168 Park Mall in Selayang is listed as running from 5 to 8 November 2026, with up to 80% off. Four days, and the last of them is Deepavali on the 8th, which is the day nobody wants to be arranging a delivery or waiting at home for an installer. That timing is the part I keep turning over. Big electrical events like this are where the very old stock gets cleared, and the advertised ceiling is almost never on the model you actually came for. The interesting question is whether the four-day window leaves any room to think, or whether the stock depth is thin enough that you are deciding in the aisle with a salesperson standing next to you. I have bought a fridge at one of these before and the thing I remember is not the price, it is the delivery slot: the crew could only come on a weekday afternoon, so the unit sat in the box for nine days while the old one wheezed in the kitchen. Everything I read about 11.11 afterwards was about vouchers, and none of it mentioned that. So for anyone who has done a carpark sale: does the price hold through the four days, or does the good stock go on the first morning? And does the warranty and installation side work the same as buying from the showroom upstairs?

Ask for the delivery slot before you pay, not after. Mine was only requested once the payment cleared, and the earliest they had was nine days out, which put the whole thing past the festival weekend.
Check whether the unit on the floor is the one you take home or a display piece. At these carpark events the boxed stock sits in a separate marquee, and the model year on the box is sometimes one behind the floor unit.
Write the model number down and look it up on the brand's own site while you are still standing there. Half the models at these events are ones the brand has already stopped listing, which tells you what the ceiling discount is really sitting on.
Settle the old appliance before they load the new one. Some crews take it away, others leave it at the lift lobby and then the management office wants a word with you about the common area.
Keep the receipt inside the warranty booklet instead of the plastic bag. When a compressor goes, the brand's service centre asks for the dealer stamp and the purchase date, and the bag is long gone by then.
Go on the second or third morning rather than the first. The crews restock overnight at these things, and the first morning queue is mostly people who came for one advertised unit that was gone by nine.
