Apple's Malaysian store has pushed delivery on the iPhone Duo to January 2027, according to SoyaCincau's report on 18 October. That is roughly three months between paying and holding the phone, and by then the next round of leaks will already be out. At the same time the Switch offer on Lazada is still advertising 0% interest instalments on the Duo, AirPods 5 at RM29 and RM550 in bank cashback, on a promotion listed to end 23 October 2026. Two different promises, two different dates to check before you commit. So is it still worth locking in a pre-order now, or does a January delivery make the whole thing pointless? If you are replacing a phone that died this week, waiting until January is not a real option. If you are upgrading out of curiosity, paying today for a January handover is a long time to hold a decision that only gets cheaper to revisit. If you already ordered, say which channel you used and the delivery date they gave you — that is the part nobody publishes clearly.

January is a long way off. By then the Duo will be old news and the next model will be leaking already.
If your phone died this week, waiting for January is not a plan. Buy something cheap now and sell it later.
The Lazada cashback is the only reason I would order there, but check which banks actually qualify.
Paying now for something that ships in January is basically lending the shop your money for free.
My concern is the warranty start date. Does it begin at delivery or at the day you paid?
Has anyone seen the Duo in a Malaysian store yet, or is it online only for the moment?
