Proton's Year-End Drive Fiesta is running from 1 to 30 November 2026, and the banners put the savings at up to RM13,000 across the Saga, S70, X50, X70 and X90. The big number is always on one particular variant, which is how these campaigns work, but what people actually sign for after the trade-in and the insurance is the part I want to understand. The timing is what I keep going back and forth on. December has the registration rush to hit the year's numbers, then January puts a new year on the registration card that quietly costs you at resale. So does 30 November actually beat mid-December, or is the discount just moved around between the body, the loan and the free gifts? Has anyone here bought in the final week of one of these campaigns? I would like to know what the offer looked like once everything was itemised, not just what the showroom banner said.

The registration date is the part people forget. A car registered on 28 December is a year older on paper than one registered on 2 January, and the used market prices it that way.
Ask for the offer sheet itemised before you compare between showrooms. Two branches quoted me the same headline last year, but one had the insurance inside it and the other had it hidden in the loan.
Check whether the campaign figures depend on taking their in-house loan. Sometimes the rebate shrinks by a few thousand the moment you say you are paying cash or using your own bank.
My cousin signed in the last week of a year-end push and got the service package thrown in because the salesperson was chasing the month. On the 29th there is usually more on the table than on the 5th.
Does anyone know if the trade-in valuation is locked once you sign, or does it get re-checked at delivery the way the mattress people do it?
Do not forget the insurance loading if you are young or the car sits in a higher group. That can quietly eat a good part of whatever you saved on the body.
