SEIBU at The Exchange TRX is running a beauty promotion from 23 to 25 October 2026: spend RM1,000 in a single receipt at CHANEL, DIOR or LA MER and you get a RM150 coupon, with another RM75 for every extra RM500 you add. On paper that is 15 per cent back, which is better than most mall rebates I see. The catch is the words single receipt. My usual list is a cleanser, a serum refill and maybe a lipstick, which lands nowhere near the threshold on its own. So now I am standing in front of the eye cream I did not plan to buy, doing arithmetic to talk myself over the line before Sunday night. How do you all handle these? Do you go in with someone and split one receipt, do you skip the coupon and wait for the counter's own gift-with-purchase week instead, and does the coupon come with an expiry date or brand restrictions that make it awkward to actually use? I would like to hear from anyone who has genuinely come out ahead on one of these weekends.

Ask at the counter whether the coupon can be used at the same three brands or only elsewhere on the floor. Mine could not be spent at the counter that issued it, which was a surprise at the till.
The 15 per cent only beats the brand's own gift-with-purchase if you were spending the thousand anyway. If you are adding an eye cream just to qualify, nothing was saved that day.
Two of us went in together last year, one receipt, and split the coupon value on a face wash each. Slightly awkward for ten minutes, sensible for the rest of the year.
Check the expiry before you walk away. The ones I have had were valid for about a month and I ended up buying something random on the last day just to use it.
Friday 23rd is the quiet one. Saturday and Sunday the beauty floor at TRX is packed and half the testers are empty by noon.
Does the RM75 for every extra RM500 stack onto the first coupon, or is it issued as a separate voucher at a different counter? The wording on these things is always vague until you ask.
